OMG! This is my first gouache painting! :faint: ~ I intended to paint with watercolours but I accidentally dragged my ink bottle over the lines wilst i was inking! *dies* so I thought I'd put my newly acquired gouache paints to the test because they're supposed to be opaque and therefore will cover up the ink smudges (which it did LOL)

This started off SO badly I wanted to chuck it away but I persisted and in the end i don't think this is really that bad...I mean it has a more anime feel than my other work because of the flat colours and I quite like this style :D

Anyway, this is Cagalli and Athrun from Gundam Seed/GS Destiny. I love this couple and I know there are a lot of people there who don't. I just felt so much sympathy for Cagalli because I feel she had one of the hardest times during the second series. Enough of my ranting :heart:

Holy cow :wow: I'm amazed with how this turned out. The gouache looks so brilliant; so muc bolder than watercolors! I wanna try now, too. If I could afford it ;_; I only have one tube... nearly cleaned me out, too!

Wow, I've never really seen gouache before, lol <_< but it looks awesome :D the pic looks very strong and crisp. Also, I never watched Destiny cuz I heard it was terrible =x

I commend you for doing gouache on an anime piece. I used gouache once on an inked anime drawing and I just got so pissed off about the results...

But anyway! Aw, Athrun and Cagalli... I kinda didn't like the series, but that's besides the point cuz this is a really sweet painting! I can recognize Athrun and Cagalli, but you did it in your way instead of just copying the style, which I have a bad habit of doing. Awesome soft colors! I kinda want to see a bigger picture so I can look at the details though!

Yeah, I was thrown off a bit because gouache is supposedly opque watercolours but they both behave so differently! :faint: Thank you!
Yeah, they're expensive but I think they're actually cheaper than artists watercolours :XD:
